Loitering With Intent Rally

Join us in demanding that state elected officials repeal the “loitering with intent to purchase a commercial sex act” section of AB379 that was enacted January 2026.
AB379 recriminalizes loitering for prostitution. This is despite the previous loitering law being repealed in 2022 because of its sexist, racist and transphobic enforcement.
The overly broad and vague language in AB379 – “any person to loiter in any public place with the intent to purchase commercial sex” – gives law enforcement enormous discretionary power to determine ‘intent’. And they will use it to harass and arrest people of color, sex workers, and queer people.
